Categories: Gift Beverages

2 -fluid ounces fresh black- currant juice
1 1/2-inch stick of cinnamon
1ozTO
2ozSugar (to taste)
  Few scented geranium leaves
12 -fluid ounces Spanish brandy or vodka

Place the juice, cinnamon, sugar and geranium leaves in a suitable bottle. Fill up with brandy or vodka. Cap firmly and shake well. Leave in a warm place for a few days to dissolve the sugar and then keep in a cool place for a month before straining through muslin or flannel into clean bottles.

The authors say that this cordial is best served chilled or mixed with a crisp white wine. It can also be heated and served as a sauce over cream cheese or ice cream.
